Modern Stay Near Southern Cross
comfortable bed rainfall shower convenient location
The king room had great space and a comfortable bed. The rainfall shower was nice. The hotel was clean. That was a plus. I found the location convenient to the Southern Cross station. This made transportation easy.

lavazza pod machine good range relaxing pool missing drawers luggage rack missing shelving
The room was a good size. It had everything I needed, especially the Lavazza pod machine. It allowed us to enjoy a wake up coffee in bed! The buffet breakfast offered a good range, and everything I ate was good. The pool and spa was relaxing after walking around the city.
Our room had no drawers or anywhere for us to store our clothes other than a luggage rack? We stayed for a few nights so we had to keep all our clothes in the suitcase. It would've been helpful to have had at least some shelving.

The breakfast buffet had many choices. The location allowed easy access to a concert venue.
The reception staff seemed undertrained. Check-in took a while. I also felt cleaning service was not good. Dirty towels were left on the floor.

fantastic stay
stylish room great location
I liked the room a lot. It was fresh, clean, and stylish. the location is great, with a team stop nearby (easy for getting around). the dorsett king bed was very comfortable.
i found the check-in process to be slow. there was a lack of clarity regarding the robot and fast check-in options, and i still had to line up. be prepared to queue for check-in on a busy day (it took about 30 minutes).

The hotel's location is excellent with nearby korean restaurants. Some are open until late, so you can find food even at night. victoria market, chinatown, and the city center are all within walking distance, about 10-15 minutes away.

the hotel is beautifully designed and decorated. i was pleased to find both a pool and gym available for use. the pool area was very nice.

the breakfast buffet offered a delicious and diverse selection of food. the hotel offers a bistro, however, there were no snacks available in the minibar (not even a bottle of water). i thought the breakfast was very good (especially the selection of fresh fruit).
